Enliven Planters is an innovative, subscription gardening service that delivers seasonal arrangements to clients’ homes and businesses four times per year. We are dedicated to making the homes and neighborhoods in Greater Philadelphia more beautiful and enjoyable places to live. We are currently seeking 4 people to join our Facilities Team to help maintain a safe, organized work facility.

The Assistant to the Property Manager is a general labor position responsible for assisting in the daily care of the property’s smooth and organized operations as scheduled by the Property Manager. Beyond those responsibilities, you will be expected to provide a willing and able set of hands wherever they are needed around the shop.

The position offers a five day schedule from 10am - 6pm. The candidate for this position must be available to work Saturdays. Occasional Sunday hours will be needed during our busy seasons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

• Operation of various hand and power tools.
• Assist Property Manager with general property maintenance and repair.
• Occasionally loads and unloads materials from trucks.
• Moves large items around the shop including furniture, supplies, hardware, tools, pallets, etc.
• Trims and removes vegetation and clears debris within and surrounding the property’s boundaries, including storm drains when needed.
• Painting with roller or spray gun, masonry repairs, landscaping and other maintenance repairs in and around the property.
• Replaces light bulbs, HVAC filters, paper products, and facility supplies.
• Oversees the refuse area’s cleanliness and orderliness.
• Snow and ice removal and other weather-related emergencies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Property Manager which may involve the use of a motorized vehicle.

Necessary Qualifications

• Has a valid Drivers License.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to continuously handle tools, construction materials, and plant matter.
• Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift and carry up to 80 lbs, and frequently push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in the vicinity of  various vegetative matter.
• Is able to sit, recline, climb, balance, kneel, crawl, stand and occasionally perform fine manipulation for extended periods of time within the necessary scope of the projects and tasks assigned.
• Has visual acuity (mid and far vision, and field of vision continuity; near vision; depth perception.
• Can frequently withstand continuous exposure to various weather patterns and conditions.
• Able to climb ladders safely and walk on roofs when needed.
• Able to communicate effectively with the Property Manager.
• Has a spirit for initiative within the boundaries of the position’s general role.

No prior experience is necessary, but preference will be given to those with experience in landscaping, nursery and greenhouse labor, or warehousing. This is also a great outdoor alternative to being a barback.
